Description
Round Cotton Mosquito Net — Single & Double
Our best-selling round cotton mosquito net — a simple, one-door circular net that fits Single and Double beds and sets up in minutes. It's a favourite with parents wanting to protect little ones, and works just as beautifully as an elegant canopy as it does a practical bed net. The built-in fibreglass hoop holds its shape, and it hangs from a single point in the ceiling, so there's no frame to build.
Features
- Fits Single and Double beds.
- One opening (a single door) for easy access.
- Round design with a 65cm fibreglass hoop that holds its shape.
- Hangs from a single ceiling point — no frame required.
- Quality cotton netting, 256 holes per square inch — real mosquito netting, not muslin.
- Fully hemmed with generous overlap, so the opening falls closed and insects are kept out when it's properly hung.
- 250cm high — the netting drapes to the floor.
- Natural white cotton; a favourite for children's rooms, and lasts for years with proper care.
Colour
- We supply natural white only, as colour preferences vary. The cotton dyes easily, and the simplest, most effective product we have found is washing machine dye. Use warm water only — slight shrinkage of around 5% may occur if very hot water is used.
Hanging
- One point to the ceiling — no frame needed; the fibreglass hoop holds the shape.
We recommend the use of a toggle hook for plaster ceilings and a cup hook for wooden ceilings. Purchase these from your local hardware store or follow this link to our hanging kits.
Which round net fits my bed?
| Bed | Which round net |
|---|---|
| Single / Double | This net — 65cm hoop, one door |
| King / Queen / Daybed | Cotton Round (King/Queen) — 100cm hoop, two entrances |
Care
- Cold hand wash or dry clean. Line dry. Do not tumble dry. Warm iron if desired.
- Cotton netting is woven and stretches and shrinks a little when washed — reshape it by pulling gently while still damp. Cold water may reduce the height by about 5%, and hot water by 10% or more, so wash cold.
Frequently asked questions
What beds does this round net fit?
It fits Single and Double beds, and it's a popular choice for children's rooms. If you have a King or Queen bed (or a daybed), see our larger cotton round net instead.
Is it round, and does it need a frame?
Yes, it's a round (circular) net with a built-in fibreglass hoop that holds its shape. There's no frame to build — it simply hangs from a single point in the ceiling.
How many openings does it have?
One — a single door. (If you'd prefer entry from both sides, our larger King/Queen round net has two entrances.)
What is it made of?
Quality cotton netting with 256 holes per square inch — real mosquito netting, not muslin — in a natural warm white. Looked after properly, cotton nets last for years.
What colour is it, and can I dye it?
We supply natural white only, as colour preferences vary. The cotton dyes easily, and the simplest, most effective product we have found is washing machine dye. Use warm water only — slight shrinkage of around 5% may occur if very hot water is used.
How do I hang it?
From a single point in the ceiling — no frame needed. We recommend a toggle hook for plaster ceilings or a cup hook for timber ceilings, available from your local hardware store or from our hanging kits.
Does it keep insects out?
Yes — it's fully hemmed with a generous overlap and drapes to the floor, so the opening falls closed and insects are kept out when it's hung and tucked in properly.
Is it treated with chemicals?
No — our cotton nets carry no chemical treatment; they're chemical-free.
How do I wash it?
Cold hand wash or dry clean, line dry, and don't tumble dry (warm iron if you like). Cotton netting stretches and shrinks a little when washed — reshape it by pulling gently while damp. Cold water may reduce the height by about 5%, and hot water by 10% or more, so wash cold.
Does it come in other sizes?
This net fits Single and Double beds. For a King or Queen bed, or a daybed, see our cotton round net for King and Queen, which has a larger 100cm hoop and two entrances.

Glad to have found a mosquito net made of cotton, a natural material which I believe is not so damaging to the environment when disposed off eventually.
I am a bit diappointed that it was produced in China, although I understand that there may be reasons for this. Australia grows cotton, and even if we need to import cotton, due to conditions in Australia not ideal to produce enough cotton, why cant we make these in Australia - it is an essential item that prevents mosquito borne diseases and avoids use of insecticides. Hi Erica. Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately Australias manufacturing base has left the country. When we make our cotton nets we start with the raw cotton that may be from Australia or the USA and then make a thread. We then weave the netting on a specialist loom, that to the best of my knowledge, is unique to China. We are partnered with a family business in rural China and have been working with them for nearly 25 years. It would be great if Australias governance was better and pro actively supported small business, especially as we have the raw product. Kind Regards, Frank

Mosquito net cotton classic double
Really good quality (as usual) in the cotton weave but loved the bamboo frame of old replaced now with a far more functional synthetic hoop
