Everything needed to hang a box net from the ceiling: 4 cup hooks for timber or concrete ceilings, 4 powder-coated spring toggle hooks for plaster ceilings, 4 wall plugs for concrete, and 20 metres of heavy-duty invisible nylon line. Full instructions are included.

1-point hanging kit — for round, Classic and Temple nets

For any net that hangs from a single ceiling point: 1 cup hook for timber or concrete ceilings, and 1 powder-coated spring toggle hook for plaster ceilings. Round, Classic and Temple nets only need this single point of attachment.

Metal curtain-rod frame — for box shaped canopies

Our silk, cotton and deluxe polyester box canopies have a sleeve built into the ceiling of the canopy for this frame. It sits hidden inside that sleeve, creating a clean, structured look — particularly popular in rooms with a lower ceiling where a bulkier frame would feel cramped. A frame isn't essential for a box net to hang and work properly, but it adds a neat, tailored finish.

What's included in the 1-point hanging kit, and which nets is it for?

The 1-point kit is for any net that hangs from a single ceiling point — our round, Classic and Temple designs. It includes 1 cup hook for timber or concrete ceilings and 1 powder-coated spring toggle hook for plaster ceilings, which covers the two most common Australian ceiling types.

What is the metal curtain-rod frame, and which nets does it fit?

It's a hidden frame that slides into a sleeve built into the ceiling of our silk, cotton and deluxe polyester box canopies. Once fitted, it's completely concealed inside the canopy, giving a clean, structured shape without any visible hardware — a popular choice for rooms with a lower ceiling.

Do I actually need a frame, or can I just use ceiling hooks?

You don't need a frame — our box nets hang and work perfectly well from ceiling hooks alone, using the 4-point hanging kit. A frame is an optional extra that gives a neater, more structured shape and clean lines, particularly noticeable in a lower-ceilinged room, but it isn't required for the net to fit or protect properly.

Can I make my own frame instead of buying one?

Yes — many customers do, particularly for box nets that are tied to a four-poster bed rather than hung from the ceiling. Bamboo, timber or steel poles all work well; our FAQ page has guide dimensions for building your own bamboo or curtain-rod frame at each bed size if you'd rather source the poles yourself.

What's the difference between the metal curtain-rod frame and a bamboo or timber frame?

The metal curtain-rod frame is designed to be completely hidden inside the canopy's ceiling sleeve, giving a clean, invisible finish. A bamboo or timber frame sits outside the canopy, visible at the corners and posts, and adds to the visual presentation and impact of the display rather than disappearing into it — it's a style choice as much as a structural one.

Will the hanging kit hooks work on a plaster ceiling, or do I need something else?

Both our hanging kits include a powder-coated spring toggle hook specifically for plaster ceilings, alongside the cup hooks for timber or concrete. Between the two hook types, most standard Australian ceiling constructions are covered — if you're unsure which your ceiling is, contact us before ordering.

Is a hanging kit or frame included with my mosquito net, or do I need to buy one separately?

Box nets come without the hanging hardware and frame are sold separately, so you can choose ceiling hooks only, a hidden metal frame, or your own bamboo or timber posts depending on how you want to install and present your net. Round, Classic and Temple nets are supplied with their own frame and only need a single hook, sold separately as the 1-point kit.
