A huge 100cm hoop suspends the silk from a single point in the ceiling, and the georgette drapes fall softly on two sides to frame the bed beautifully. Both — though it's chosen mostly for its beauty. As a decorative silk canopy it frames the bed on two sides; and because it's fully hemmed with generous overlaps, it also keeps insects out when it's hung and sealed properly.

What is it made of?
The drapes are pure 8 momme silk georgette, and the ceiling and hem are pure 16 momme silk charmeuse — smooth and lustrous with a satin sheen — all in a pearly, milk-white Mulberry silk.

Is the silk see-through?
The georgette drapes are soft and only slightly translucent, which is what gives that romantic, dreamy look, while the charmeuse ceiling and hem are more opaque with a satin sheen.

What colour is available?
Pure pearly white only. Silk is a delicate natural fabric, so we don't offer dyeing.

How does it hang?
From a single point in the ceiling — there's no frame to build. A removable 100cm hoop hidden in the charmeuse ceiling holds the canopy's shape. We recommend a toggle hook for plaster ceilings or a cup hook for timber ceilings, available from your local hardware store or from our hanging kits.
