Description
Silk Box Bed Canopy Mosquito Net — Queen
An exclusive, pure-silk box canopy — the most luxurious net we make, and a piece unique to us. Crafted from pure, natural Mulberry silk in a pearly white, it is first and foremost a beautiful decorative bed canopy — the ultimate in luxury bedroom furnishing — and it also excludes insects when properly sized, hung and sealed. Designed, made, supplied and managed by Dreamagic, an Australian owned and operated specialist since 1995, with the quality of workmanship and finish that has earned glowing feedback from customers around the world.
Features
- Primarily a luxurious decorative canopy — and it also excludes insects when properly sized, hung and sealed: fully sealed, with no gaps.
- Four openings with a 75cm overlap, so there is no gap for insects to find their way in.
- Fully hemmed with a 25mm silk charmeuse band.
- 26 pairs of ceiling ties (30cm long) for attaching to a frame or four-poster bed.
- A sewn ceiling sleeve for a hidden curtain-rod frame, for a clean contemporary look.
- Internal and external corner ties, so you can tie the 'doors' open through the day to create a romantic, light and airy Dreamspace.
- Reinforced ceiling for structure and durability.
- Made oversize — larger than the mattress, so the canopy covers both the mattress and the bed frame, not just the mattress. Please measure your bed before choosing a size.
Fabric & colour
- Pure, natural Mulberry silk in a pearly white.
- 8 momme silk georgette drapes — a sheer, lightweight, plain-weave crepe that falls softly.
- 16 momme silk charmeuse ceiling and hem — soft, smooth and lustrous, with a satin sheen.
- Pure pearly white only; silk is a delicate fabric, so we don't offer dyeing.
- No chemical treatment — chemical-free, with no insecticide and no flame-retardant chemicals.
Hanging & installation
- Installation instructions are included with every net.
- Hang from a hidden curtain-rod frame for a contemporary look or smaller rooms, or use exotic bamboo for a tropical feel or in large rooms. Bamboo Australia can supply 4 lengths of bamboo to Australian customers. Contact them via their website bambooaustralia.com.au or phone 07 5447 0299. See the frame-sizing guide on our FAQ page.
- It can also be attached directly to the ceiling using the corner ties, or hung as a traditional four-poster canopy. We recommend toggle hooks for plaster ceilings or cup hooks for timber ceilings, available from your local hardware store or from our hanging kits.

Frequently asked questions
What is the silk canopy made from?
It's crafted from pure, natural Mulberry silk in a pearly white. The drapes are 8 momme silk georgette — sheer, lightweight and soft — and the ceiling and hem are 16 momme silk charmeuse, which is smooth and lustrous with a satin sheen. The box shape hangs from ceiling ties or a curtain-rod frame and fully encloses the bed.
Is the silk canopy decorative, or does it keep insects out?
Both. It is first and foremost a luxurious decorative canopy, and it also excludes insects when it's properly sized, hung and sealed. The four openings overlap by 75cm and the canopy is fully hemmed, so there is no gap for insects to get through.
Is the silk see-through?
The georgette drapes are sheer, lightweight and softly translucent, which gives that romantic, airy look, while the charmeuse ceiling and hem are more opaque with a satin sheen.
What colour is available?
Pure pearly white only. Silk is a delicate natural fabric, so we don't offer dyeing.
Is the silk net chemically treated?
No. It carries no chemical treatment — it's chemical-free, with no insecticide and no flame-retardant chemicals.
How do I hang it?
You can hang it from a hidden curtain-rod frame (using the sewn ceiling sleeve) for a contemporary look, from bamboo or timber poles for a larger or more tropical room, directly from the ceiling using the corner ties, or from a four-poster bed. We recommend toggle hooks for plaster ceilings or cup hooks for timber ceilings — see our hanging kits and the frame-building videos below.
How do I care for it?
Dry clean only. Silk is a delicate natural fabric and is not machine washable.
What does “oversize” mean?
Our canopies are made larger than the mattress on purpose, so the net covers both the mattress and the bed frame rather than just the mattress — so measure your bed and choose the size that comfortably surrounds it.
What size bed does the silk Queen net fit?
It fits a standard Queen bed (153cm × 200cm). The net measures 170cm(W) × 220cm(L) × 220cm(H) — made oversize so it covers the mattress and the bed frame.
Does the silk box come in a smaller size?
Queen is the smallest silk box we make. For a Single or Double bed, see our cotton or polyester box canopies.
