Description

Polyester Mosquito Net — Fits All Beds (Single to King)

An amazingly versatile net that fits every bed from Single through to King, plus daybeds. Soft, sheer white polyester drapes fall from a neat square ceiling on a modular PVC frame, and the whole net hangs from a single point in the ceiling. With three openings it's as much a special space as a practical net — a favourite with children creating their own little retreat. Insect protection can look good.

Designed, made and supplied by us — Australian owned and operated, with over 30 years as mosquito net specialists.

Features

  • Fits every bed from Single to King, plus daybeds — one net for all, with excess netting gathered for smaller beds.
  • Three openings, for easy access and a generous range of display options.
  • Hangs from a single point in the ceiling — a modular 70 × 70cm PVC frame forms the square ceiling.
  • 300cm of sheer netting drapes to the floor, with generous overlaps for protection over any bed.
  • Soft, sheer polyester — light, airy and see-through.
  • Hemmed with a 25mm microfibre band for an attractive finish and durability.
  • Natural white.
  • Chemical-free — no insecticide and no flame-retardant treatment.

Fabric & colour

  • Soft, sheer white polyester — 360 holes per square inch; light, airy and contemporary.
  • Available in natural white only. Polyester is a synthetic fabric and doesn't take home dye reliably, so white is the colour we offer.
  • Polyester does not shrink, so the net keeps its size and shape through washing.

Hanging

    • One point to the ceiling — the modular PVC frame forms the square ceiling; no separate frame to build.

We recommend the use of a toggle hook for plaster ceilings and a cup hook for wooden ceilings. Purchase these from your local hardware store or follow this link to our hanging kits.

Care

  • Cold machine wash on a delicate cycle, or dry clean. Do not tumble dry.

Shipped across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

Frequently asked questions

What beds does this net fit?
It's amazingly versatile — it fits every bed from Single through to King, plus daybeds. For smaller beds the excess netting is simply gathered.

How can one net fit every bed size?
Because it hangs from a single point and drapes 300cm to the floor, the netting is cut generously enough to fall clear of the largest bed we cover. On a smaller bed you simply have more netting to gather or tuck in. With mosquito netting, bigger is always safer than smaller — a net that is too small cannot be sealed.

Does it need a frame?
No separate frame to build — a modular 70 × 70cm PVC frame is included and forms the square ceiling, and the whole net hangs from a single point in the ceiling.

How many openings does it have?
Three — which gives easy access from more than one side, as well as a generous range of display options.

What is it made of, and is it see-through?
Soft, sheer white polyester with 360 holes per square inch. It's light, airy and semi-transparent, which gives a contemporary look while still keeping insects out when it's properly hung.

What colour is available?
Natural white only. Polyester is a synthetic fabric and doesn't take home dye reliably, so white is the colour we offer.

How do I hang it?
From a single point in the ceiling. We recommend a toggle hook for plaster ceilings or a cup hook for timber ceilings, available from your local hardware store or from our one-point hanging kit. You need one hook, not four — this net is not a box net.

Does it keep insects out?
Yes — it's fully hemmed with generous overlaps and drapes to the floor, so the openings fall closed and insects are kept out when it's hung and tucked in properly.

Is it treated with chemicals?
No — it carries no chemical treatment. There is no insecticide and no flame-retardant chemical in the fabric; it's chemical-free.

Is it suitable for a child's room?
It's a favourite for exactly that. The three openings make it feel like a little retreat rather than just a net, and the sheer polyester keeps the room light. Hang it well above the bed, keep the hanging cord short and out of reach, and make sure the netting can't be pulled loose over a sleeping child.

Does polyester shrink when washed?
No. Polyester does not shrink, so the net keeps its size and shape through washing — unlike our cotton nets, which need a cold wash and reshaping while damp.

How do I wash it?
Cold machine wash on a delicate cycle, or dry clean. Don't tumble dry.

Would you rather a natural-fibre net?
This is the sheer polyester version. For a natural cotton net that also fits every bed from Single to King, see our cotton mosquito net.

Do you ship across Australia and New Zealand?
Yes. We are an Australian business based at Lillian Rock in the Northern Rivers of NSW, and we ship throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

A lot cheaper than mosquito screens and, I’d say, more effective.

castle mozzie net for Queen bed

Posted by sylvie on 15th Mar 2023

I am very happy with this purchase. Great quality product with a thoughtful design so the overlapping drapes are wide enough so no mozzie gets in. Very roomy and easy to set up. Best net I've had to date. Thanks for a great product

    Mosquito net

Posted by Brian on 29th Mar 2022

Thought I was buying Australian made but turns out it is made in China. Ceiling connection flimsy and had to be resown after it came loose. Otherwise happy but it would be interesting to compare cheaper brands. 3 access points work well. Hi Brian, we are an Australian company that manufactures in China with a small family business that makes our nets exclusively for us. I dont know of any domestic Australian manufacturer of mosquito nets or mosquito netting. I am sorry to hear that there was a fault with the sewing of the ceiling connection and Im glad that you were able to repair it without too much difficulty. Kindly Frank

    temple style mossie net

Posted by Anne Reeves on 13th Feb 2020

several points 1 - supportive of follow up process 2 - note package had incorrect postcode, which PO sorted out but meant delay: Frank in your office was however most helpful when I inquired why package had not arrived within expected time frame 3 - suggest package includes advice on weight and 'how to hang' including height above floor and relative to bedhead. 4 - unfortunately my husband sat on the net on first night of use and loop pulled out - will have to re-stitch in - at least better than pulling the ceiling down! 5 - would have preferred netting 'roof' rather than solid material for better airflow
