An invisible frame. Our Deluxe box nets are made with a sleeve sewn into the ceiling of the canopy, and this frame slides straight into it — so the structure disappears and all you see is the net, holding a clean square shape as though it were suspended by magic.

It is four white powder-coated telescopic rods with elbow joints at the corners, adjusting to fit a Double, Queen or King net. Suspended from four points in the ceiling it gives the look of a traditional four-poster bed without the bed. It is the frame to choose for a room with a low ceiling, or anywhere that bamboo or timber poles would be too heavy a presence.

How does this frame stay hidden?

Our Deluxe box nets have a fabric sleeve sewn into the ceiling of the canopy. The assembled rods slide inside that sleeve, so from the outside you see only the net holding a clean square shape, with no visible poles or brackets.

Which mosquito nets does the frame fit?

It is made for our Deluxe box nets in cotton, deluxe polyester and silk, all of which have the ceiling sleeve. It can also be used with any other box-shaped net, but our Essential and travel box nets are made without a sleeve, so on those the frame sits outside the canopy and remains visible.

What sizes does it adjust to?

The rods are telescopic and adjust to fit Double, Queen, King and Super King box nets. The only size it is not available for is Single.

Do I still need to hang it from the ceiling?

Yes. The frame gives the canopy its shape but it does not stand on its own — it is suspended from four points in the ceiling. If you want a net that supports itself with no ceiling fixing at all, look at our freestanding nets instead.

What is the frame made of?

Four lengths of white powder-coated metal curtain rod, joined at the corners with elbow joints. The powder coating means it will not mark the netting.

Do I need a hanging kit as well?

Yes, unless you already have suitable hooks and line. The frame itself does not include the ceiling fixings. Our four-point mosquito net hanging kit supplies the cup hooks, spring toggle hooks, wall plugs and nylon line you need to suspend it.

How does the frame compare with bamboo or timber poles?

Bamboo and timber poles give a warm tropical look and suit large rooms with high ceilings, and many customers prefer them for exactly that reason. A metal frame is the neater and lighter option, and because it hides inside the canopy sleeve it suits smaller rooms, low ceilings and contemporary bedrooms where visible poles would dominate.

Can I use the canopy without a frame at all?

Yes. Our box nets hang perfectly well from four ceiling points on their own, and many customers use them that way. A frame is not required for insect protection — it is there to give the canopy structure and a more furnished look.

How is the frame shipped?

It is sent with a specialist carrier because of its length, and for that reason it can only be delivered to an Australian street address. Please do not use a PO Box when ordering. Due to the delivery cost this item is excluded from free shipping.

Where should the four ceiling points go?

Over the four corners of the bed. You can angle the fixing points slightly outwards from the corners to put more tension across the ceiling of the canopy, which pulls the fabric taut and gives a crisper finish.
