Double is a popular size for guest rooms, kids moving up from a Single bed, and shared bedrooms. It's available in every shape we make, so whether you want a structured four-poster look or a soft, single-hook canopy, there's a Double option built for it.

Double dimensions

Our Double box nets measure 150cm x 210cm, made oversize on purpose so the canopy comfortably clears the mattress edges and drapes to the floor with no gaps. Our multi-size round design covers Single and Double in the one net, and our polyester Temple design covers Single right through to King, including Double, in the one net. In the US, this mattress size is often called "Full" — if you've seen that term, it's the same size as our Double.

Choose your shape and fabric

Double is available in box, round and Temple shapes, in cotton or polyester. Cotton gives you a natural fabric with real presence over the bed; polyester is lighter, sheerer and more affordable. Whichever you choose, when correctly hung and sealed with the netting closed to the floor, it provides complete protection from mosquitoes and other insects.

What are the exact dimensions of a Double mosquito net?

Our Double box nets measure 150cm x 210cm. They're made deliberately oversize, so once hung the netting comfortably clears the mattress on every side and drapes right down to the floor — that clearance is what lets the net seal properly rather than sitting tight against the bed.

Which shapes and fabrics are available in Double size?

Double comes in box, round and Temple shapes, in cotton and polyester. Cotton gives you a natural fabric with real presence and a lifespan of around ten years; polyester is lighter, sheerer and more affordable. We don't currently make a Double-size silk canopy — our silk range is limited to Queen and King.

Is "Double" the same as a "Full" size bed?

Yes. Double and Full refer to the same mattress size — Double is the Australian term, Full is the US term you'll sometimes see used interchangeably in searches and product reviews. If you've measured your bed as a US Full, our Double size is the correct match.

Does a Double round net also fit a Single bed?

Yes — our round nets use a multi-size design, and the same net that covers Double also covers Single. There's no need to choose a different size depending on which of the two you have; it's one product either way.

Will a Queen net fit a Double bed if I want extra room?

It will physically drape over a Double bed, since a Queen net is larger, but it's not designed for that fit and the extra fabric will pool rather than hang neatly and seal as intended. If you specifically want more headroom or a fuller look over a Double bed, ask us before ordering — but as a rule, matching the net to your actual mattress size gives the best result.

What frame or hanging options come with a Double mosquito net?

It depends on the shape. Double box nets can be tied or pinned to an existing four-poster frame, hung from four to six ceiling hooks, or fitted with a hidden curtain-rod frame that slides into a sleeve in the canopy ceiling. Double round and Temple nets are supplied with their own frame and need only a single hook in the ceiling.

How much overhead space does a Double canopy need?

For a box net hung from the ceiling, allow enough height for the 150cm x 210cm canopy to hang with the sides draping fully to the floor — a standard 2.4m ceiling is generally plenty. For a Double four-poster frame, the canopy simply attaches to the existing frame height, so there's no extra ceiling clearance to plan for.

Which Double mosquito net is best for a shared or guest room?

Our polyester round net in Double is a popular guest-room choice — it's affordable, only needs a single ceiling hook, and is easy to take down between guests. For a room used constantly or shared by kids, a cotton box net is the more durable long-term choice, with around ten years of life and a proper four-poster canopy look.
